Open class rules

The open class is for dancers of a high level. See the open and breitensport class participation for information in which class dancers belong. These rules apply if you belong in the open class:

• Blind-dating is mandatory for open class dancers.
• Open class dancers are free to choose an open class partner of their liking (i.e., there will be no lottery), taking in account the rules below.
• It is not allowed to form an open class couple between two dancers if the two dancers:
  • are from the same university
  • have danced regular tournaments together or have danced with each other at one of the last two ETDS-es
  • are regular dance partners
  • have had lessons together or have trained together
• The results of the open class have no influence on the Tanzmaus competition.
